Want a mindset shift that's simple, free, and takes less than five minutes. In today's Thrivent five, I'm showing you how daily gratitude can transform your attitude, your energy, and your ability to stay motivated even on the toughest days. Welcome back to Thrive in Five, where I give you a quick burst of motivation and productivity in five minutes or less. I'm Cindy, your host, a self-made entrepreneur, busy mom, and a business coach. I've built and sold several digital businesses ranging from five to six figure successes. So when it comes to managing time and priorities in both life and work, I get it. I've been there and I am here to help you thrive. Let's talk about one of the most powerful mindset tools you already have access to. That's gratitude. It might sound simple and maybe even a little cliche, but the science and the life experience backs it up. When you regularly practice gratitude, you train your brain to look for what's working rather than what's missing. And that shift, it changes everything. Here's the thing, your mindset shapes your results and gratitude shapes your mindset. So how do you actually practice gratitude in a way that sticks First, start your morning with three simple gratitudes before you. Even reach for your phone. List out three things that you are grateful for, big or small. You can say them out loud or just say them silently. This trains your brain to start the day looking for good things instead of immediately scanning for stress. It can be as small as your warm cup of coffee, the sound of birds, or a good hair day. Don't overthink it. Just let it flow. Then you're gonna anchor gratitude to something you already do. Gratitude doesn't have to be one more thing added to your to-do list. Pair it with a habit you already have, like brushing your teeth, making your bed, or walking the dog. Say one thing you're thankful for during that moment. Now you've built a gratitude habit without adding a single extra step. Then write it down at the end of the day before bed. Jot down one win or one moment from the day that you are thankful for. It doesn't just end your day on a positive note. It gives your brain a sense of closure and peace over time. This becomes a record of progress that reminds you just how far you've come. Your brain naturally focuses on what's wrong. It's wired for survival. Gratitude helps you retrain your mind to focus on what's good. When you start seeing the good more clearly, your motivation, energy, and problem solving skills go up. So to recap your action steps to implement this tomorrow is to try one of these gratitude moments. Pick morning, midday, or evening. If you already have a journal, add a gratitude line in there. Gratitude is a mindset reset button. You don't need a perfect day to feel grounded. You just need to look for what's good in it. And once you start, you'll be amazed at how much more motivation flows through everything you do. You've got this. Thanks for tuning into the Thrive in Five podcast.
