Your people, the energy of the people you surround yourself with can make or break your momentum. Welcome back to Thrive in Five, where I give you a quick burst of motivation and productivity in five minutes or less. I'm Cindy, your host, a self-made entrepreneur, busy mom, and a business coach. I've built and sold several digital businesses ranging from five to six figure successes. So when it comes to managing time and priorities in both life and work, I get it. I've been there and I am here to help you thrive. Let's talk about something that impacts your motivation, mindset, and even your results. Your circle. The truth is you are influenced by people around you more than you realize. Their energy mindset, work ethic, and even their fears can rub off on you. That's why one of the best things you can do for your goals isn't another productivity hack. It's curating your environment to include people who inspire you and lift you up. Now, this doesn't mean cutting out everyone from your life who doesn't get it. It means being intentional about who you let speak into your dreams and your energy. Are you spending time with people who push you forward or ones that intentionally hold you back? So here's a quick gut check. After spending time with someone, do you feel energized and encouraged, or do you feel depleted and discouraged? That's your sign. You want to surround yourself with people who are going after their own goals, who speak positively, who hold you accountable, and who remind you that progress is better than perfection. That's the goal. These are your expanders. They show you what's possible and help you stretch beyond your comfort zone. And sometimes you don't even need to know them in real life. Podcasts, books, communities, mentorships are powerful ways to surround yourself with inspiration, even if you're the only one in your current circle chasing big things. That's why I created the exclusively Cindy space to give you access to the motivation, structure and support I wish that I had when I started. Whether it's one-on-one accountability or a whole community just here in the podcast or on the Instagram feed. The key is to make sure that you are not doing this alone. Motivation isn't something that you build internally. It's something that you absorb from others. When you're around, people who believe in their dreams, take action and keep going, even when it's hard, it becomes contagious. It's the kind of energy that is priceless when you are building something meaningful so let's recap the power of community. Your energy is influenced by the people around you. You need to choose to surround yourself by those who uplift you, encourage you, and inspire you. And remember, you do not have to do it alone. Intentionally create or seek out your environment. So your action steps for today. Or tomorrow, or to do a quick audit of who you're spending time with, who drains you versus who fuels you? Reach out to one person who uplifts you and tell'em that you appreciate their energy. Start seeking out communities, content or mentors that reflect who you want to become.
