[00:00:00] Today we are talking about finding your why. Now, I don't mean the letter Y, I mean the word W H Y.

[00:00:09] So finding your why and how it can help you stay committed to your goals. We've all had moments where motivation fades and sticking to our goals feels like a challenge. Am I right? But when you know your why, it becomes much easier to stay on track, no matter what obstacles come your way. 

[00:00:28] So let's dive into this concept because it is so powerful and I'm going to teach you how to tap into it to achieve your goals.

The Power of Knowing Your Why

[00:01:14] Your why is the reason behind why you have set your goal. It's not just what you want to achieve, it's why you want to achieve it. Maybe you're working hard to build your business so you can create financial freedom for your family. Or maybe you're focused on self care so you can show up better for your loved ones.

[00:01:34] Whatever it is, your why is deeply personal to you, and it's what's keeping you committed, even when things get tough. So think of your why as fuel to keep that fire burning. When motivation runs out, and it will because we've all been there, motivation, it comes, it goes. Your why is what pushes you forward.

[00:01:56] It's the bigger picture. It reminds you of the purpose behind your hard work. 

Questions to Uncover Your Why

[00:02:02] So how do you find your why? You start by asking yourself a few key questions. What does achieving this goal mean for me? What will my life look like once I've achieved this goal? Who else benefits when I achieve this? 

Reflecting on Your Answers

[00:02:18] So, those simple three questions, I'd like for you to take a moment to reflect on.

Deepening Your Understanding

[00:02:42] So it's not just about the surface level goal, like I want to be healthier or I want my business to succeed.

[00:02:50] We want to go deeper with this. Maybe being healthier means having more energy to keep up with your kids, feeling more confident. Maybe growing your business means giving your family more security, showing your kids what's possible through hard work and dedication. 

Keeping Your Why Visible

[00:03:06] So once you identify your why, write it down somewhere where you can see it daily.

[00:03:11] It could be a sticky note on your mirror, a note on your phone, or even a reminder you set each morning. Seeing your why regularly keeps it in front and center of your mind. When things get hard and you feel like giving up, that's when your why steps in. 

Overcoming Challenges with Your Why

[00:03:29] Let's say that you're overwhelmed by a big project and the finish line feels miles and miles away.

[00:03:35] In that moment, reconnecting with your why, whether it's building financial freedom, improving your health, being a role model, it reminds you why you started in the first place, and it pushes you to keep going because the outcome is bigger than the momentary struggle. This doesn't mean that everything will be easy.

[00:03:56] It never is. We all know that. But having a strong sense of purpose gives you the resilience to overcome those challenges. So here's the key. Your why doesn't have to be perfect, it just needs to resonate with you on a very deep level.
